Building block of atherosclerotic plaque are consists of cholesterol, cell debri, white blood cells and calcium. Calcium is blended together inside the cholesterol like fruits in fruit cake. Calcium embedded together with the cholesterol renders the plague became very hard and stable. Once EDTA has captured calcium or metallic waste it circulates throughout the blood stream until it exits the body through the kidneys. Cholesterol will dislodge layer by layer when there is decalcification of the plaque building block.

Atherosclerotic plague can also be dangerously unstable. Micro-rupture on unstable plaque create a nodus for flowing blood to lodge at the clotting site, build-up the clot further and clot accumulation can occur very fast leading to complete blockage within minutes or hours.
